What has this world come to where our children
have to be afraid to go to school?
School is supposed to be where they go
to get their education.
A safe haven, where abused children can
escape their cruel reality for a while.
But in the world we live in today,
they have to be afraid for so many many reasons.
Why have we let it get so out of hand?
What can we do to end this?
We need to figure out what has went wrong,
and make it right.
Make it right before their fears become reality.
I found this in my 11 year old Daughters
school folder.
At School I'm most afraid of...
At School I am most afraid of violence. You never know
when someone is going to bring a gun or knife to school,
or even fights.
That can kill somebody too.
I hope that never happens here, or
when we are outside at recess.
People kill other people for hundreds of reasons.
Like in Colorado, the two boys killed the kids
because they were social misfits, or was it
because of Hitler's Birthday was Tuesday.
They were known as the Trench coat Mafia,
because they always wore black trench coats.
This makes me sad..
My 11 year old shouldn't even have to worry about this :(
